Here’s a summary of all the episodes (so far) for the “Be the Voice” podcast:
- EP 017: Don’t make ads, make news. Bob Thacker, Senior VP of Marketing and Advertising for OfficeMax, about building a new voice with their “Life is beautiful. Work can be too” campaign.
- EP 016: Word of mouth marketing is a lot easier than you think. Andy Sernovitz is the author of “Word of Mouth Marketing: How Smart Companies Get People Talking” and founder of GasPedal, a word of mouth marketing firm.
- EP 015: Attach yourself to a problem that matters. Thornton May is a futurist, anthropologist, cognitive scientist, and an incredibly entertaining guy. The combination of all three has made him a thought leader in the area of business IT.
- EP 014: It’s OK to be a dork online. David Meerman Scott is the author of “The New Rules of Marketing and PR,” “Tuned In,” and the forthcoming book, “World Wide Rave.”
- EP 013: Begin by listening. Social media consultant Chris Brogan is one of the top 200 bloggers and considered one of the top 50 men in social media.
- EP 012: Be the media rather than surround the media. Joe Pulizzi is the founder and Chief Content Officer for Junta42, a custom publishing and content marketing search engine and resource.
- EP 011: Speed to cool. Bill Ryan is the cofounder of Mandala, a branding and messaging services company.
- EP 010: Build company knowledge by taking conversations out of email. Ross Mayfield, the cofounder, chairman, and president of SocialText, a social business software platform.
- EP 009: If everyone is following a rule, doing the opposite will do at least as well. Harry McCracken, editor and founder of Technologizer and former editor in chief of PCWorld magazine.
- EP 008: Your audience doesn’t care about you. They care about themselves. What are you going to give them? online media mogul Susan Bratton, co-founder and CEO of Personal Life Media.
- EP 007: The blog is the new resume. Paul Dunay, Global Director of Integrated Marketing at BearingPoint and prominent blogger at Buzz Marketing for Technology.
- EP 006: How to launch a community from nothing. Pete Krainik is the CEO, CMO, and founder of “The CMO Club” an organization for only top level marketing professionals to engage in high level discussions and concerns that CMOs are going through.
- EP 005: Feed the market what it wants and you don’t need to do marketing. Dana Gardner is the founder and principal of the analyst firm Interarbor Solutions. Gardner also blogs for ZDNet, plus he’s also the host of BriefingsDirect, a podcast that lets sit in and listen to the in depth conversation during an analyst briefing.
- EP 004: Any problems you’re hiding will eventually blow up in your face. Charlene Li, independent (formerly with Forrester) thought leader covering emerging technology.
- EP 003: Build your audience by sharing their ideals and beliefs. Interview with two of the founders of The Conversation Group, Chris Heuer and Peter Hirshberg.
- EP 002: Is enterprise collaboration an oxymoron? Interview with enterprise collaboration consultant Oliver Marks.
- EP 001: Even the best description of your product can’t beat a demonstration of your product. Interview with Alec Saunders of SaundersLog, and founder of iotum and the Calliflower free conference calling application.
